Nature of Services

KnowYourAgent provides trust and verification infrastructure for AI agent commerce. Our services are designed to facilitate trust signals between autonomous AI agents, their operators, and merchants.

Important: KnowYourAgent is NOT:

• A financial institution, bank, or money transmitter
• A payment processor or financial intermediary
• An insurance provider or guarantor of transactions
• A legal or compliance advisory service

We provide informational trust signals. All transaction decisions and risk assessments remain the sole responsibility of the parties involved.

Transaction Risks

• No Transaction Guarantee: Verification and trust scores are heuristic signals, not guarantees of transaction success or agent reliability.
• Financial Risk: Merchants and operators bear full responsibility for financial outcomes of agent transactions.
• Fraud Risk: While we implement fraud detection measures, no system can prevent all fraudulent activities.

Technical Risks

• Service Availability: The Platform may experience downtime, errors, or degraded performance.
• Data Accuracy: Trust scores and verification data may not reflect current agent behavior.
• Integration Risk: API integrations require proper implementation; incorrect integration may cause failures.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SOCIAL PROTOCOL LABS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO:

• Agent malfunctions, unauthorized actions, or fraudulent behavior
• Transaction failures, chargebacks, or financial losses
• Decisions made based on trust scores or verification results
• Service interruptions, data loss, or security incidents
• Third-party actions or integrations
• Any use or inability to use the Platform

Regulatory Compliance

Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of the Platform complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

• Data Protection: GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy laws
• Consumer Protection: Laws governing automated decision-making and AI systems
• Financial Regulations: Payment, anti-money laundering, and know-your-customer requirements
• Industry-Specific Rules: Sector-specific regulations applicable to your business

KnowYourAgent provides infrastructure tools; compliance with regulations is the responsibility of each user.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these notices or use of KnowYourAgent shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, California, in accordance with JAMS Comprehensive Arbitration Rules.
